We hear that contracts should be clear and brief. We also see the opposite: baffling, medieval-sounding language, reading like a charter from the king. What’s the best path? Your contract doesn’t need to be pretty. It’s the source code for a deal: a technical, sometimes intricate guide. On top of all that, you need language the other party will accept. And compromise often leads to low quality language you can live with, but barely.
