We’ve posted a new contract in the forms library — and it’s available to you in MS Word (no charge, as always). The new form is for professional services by a consultant. It’s friendly to the consultant, though it does give the company ownership of any IP generated on the job. It also includes confidentiality (NDA) terms, protecting the company.
This new form actually isn’t particularly specific to the IT industry. A consultant in any industry could use it. But its focus on IP and confidentiality make it a particularly good fit for IT consultants, as well as management and other consultants serving IT companies.
The form doesn’t include its own statement of work form. It assumes the parties have their own. But if not, you can attach the SoW form already in the contracts library.
