David W. Tollen
David
Tollen is the founder of Tech Contracts Chalkboard. He’s an attorney
specializing in software, IT, and intellectual property agreements,
and he’s the author of two books on the subject:
David has negotiated and drafted intellectual property
and technology contracts of all kinds, representing both buyers
and sellers. His experience includes:
- Co-founder of an IP and technology law firm with offices in
the Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and Los Angeles: Adeli
& Tollen LLP
- General Counsel of a publicly traded software company: Centura
Software Corporation
- VP of Business Development at a profitable technology startup:
ClickTime, Inc.
- Associate at a global law firm: Morrison & Foerster LLP
He has degrees from:
- Harvard Law School;
- Cambridge University (England); and
- U.C. Berkeley.
Finally, David is an experienced and accomplished
speaker. He taught rhetoric, advocacy, and public speaking in both
college and law school, and ever since he has been passionate about
oral presentation. His style is upbeat and highly organized, and
he seeks to involve participants in the discussion as much as possible.
David is also passionate about organizing complex materials into
simple lessons. In his spare time, he writes about history and science
for young people.
